Dr Ivan Hon 

Dr Ivan Hon (BA, MA, MPhil, PhD, MCIL) is Translator and Associate Editor of the CCPN Global (UK); Assocate of the UK Research and Development Centre for Chinese Traditional Culture.

He received his PhD in Religious Studies from the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Wales in September 2012.  Previously, he received his MPhil in Study of Religion and MA in Japanese Religion from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, MA in International Business from Sophia University of Japan and BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington, USA.  

Dr Hon's research interests lie in comparative culture, religion and philosophy, Confucianism, contemporary New Confucianism, Buddhism, Christianity, East Asian (e.g. China, Japan and Korea) traditional cultures’ interaction with modernity and modern capitalism.  He has been presenting papers on Chinese philosophical ideas and New Confucianism in comparison with Western theological and philosophical ideas (e.g. Paul Tillich, Max Weber and Kant) in conferences in the UK (e.g. SOAS, LSE and Oxford), US (e.g. Association of Asian Studies and American Academy of Religion) and China (e.g. Nanjing and Anhui). 

Dr. Hon has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) since 2010 and is a committee member of its Business, Professions and Government division.  He has been working as a freelance interpreter and translator for various translation agencies in the UK since 2004.  He mostly interprets between English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin) for government agencies and public services (e.g. NHS hospitals, mental hospitals and clinic, social services departments, housing agencies, councils, schools, law firms and courts) around London.  He also translates written English, Chinese and Japanese materials in medical, legal and commercial areas for translation companies in the UK and Hong Kong.

Dr. Hon had previous professional experience working on a research project on the business and professional ethics education in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, working for the financial management department of a Japanese electronic company and the loan department of a Japanese bank, as well as teaching commercial courses at Chu Hai College, teaching English at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and Japanese at Hong Kong Open University.

Dr. Hon speaks English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Japanese, basic French and Korean.

韩志豪博士

韩志豪博士是全球中国比较研究会兼任助理编辑及翻译。他先后取得美国华盛顿大学商业管理学士学位, 日本上智大学国际商业硕士学位, 英国伦敦大学亚非学院日本宗教硕士及宗教研究哲学硕士学位, 并于2012年获英国威尔士大学宗教研究系授予哲学博士学位。 韩博士的研究兴趣广泛,包括比较文化, 宗教, 道德和哲学, 儒家思想, 当代新儒学, 佛教, 基督教及东亚(中国, 日本和韩国)传统文化与现代性及现代资本主义之间的关系。他一直于不同的国际会议,包括英国 (如亚非学院、伦敦经济学院和牛津大学)、美国(如亚洲研究协会和美国宗教协会)及中国(如南京和安徽大学)发表关于中国哲学思想, 新儒学, 西方神学, 宗教学和道德哲学思想及现代问题的论文。

韩博士从2004年开始在伦敦及其周边地区替政府医院, 诊所和精神病院, 政府机构(社会服务处,房屋处及保释中心等), 学校, 律师事务所和法院作中文(普通话和广东话)英文口语翻译, 也替英国和香港的翻译公司翻译中文,英文和日文医疗, 商业和法律文件和资料。韩博士从2010年便是英国特许语言师协会的会员。

韩博士其他的专业经验包括在日资银行担任贷款工作, 日资电子公司担任财务管理工作, 香港珠海学院教授商科, 香港职业训练局教授英文, 香港公开大学教授日文及香港理工大学担任研究助理。

韩博士会说英文, 中文(普通话及广东话), 日文及简单的法文和韩文。
